Rwanda Healing Project 2022

Barefoot Artists has long been committed to community building through art, economic development, and innovative actions since 2004 in Rwanda. Starting in 2007, we have been sponsoring land purchasing and rental for the poverty-stricken the indigenous Twa population, building vegetable gardens, teaching basic health, farming method and nutrition to all the villages we have worked with.

Our program has lifted a total of 1365 young and old members from 339 families in eight small remote villages spread out in the west province of Rubavu. We aim to help the people in the remaining six villages in Rubavu in the coming years.

We are grateful to Jean Bosco Musana, our colleague of 18 years, who is lovingly called Papa Bosco by the Twa for his compassion and guiding wisdom.

Listen to the heart-thumping song of joy, collaborative farming, and future harvest!
